Heather Baldwin is the cover-up queen at TNT Tattoo and the manager who keeps the shop running. In her own words: "Cover-ups · Traditional · Neo-traditional · Illustrative · Black and Grey" — that's the range. She's been doing this long enough to look at almost any existing tattoo and tell you, honestly, what it'll take to fix it.

Her favorite cover-ups are the ones with stories. The ex's name turned into a peony bouquet. The garage flash piece from 2009 reborn as a clean neo-traditional bird. The faded tribal that becomes a rosary draped through roses. Heather doesn't judge what's already on your skin. She helps you decide what you'd rather it be.

Outside of cover-ups, she works in florals, neo-traditional, birds with roses, anatomical hearts, rosary pieces, wolves with flowers — anything where surgical linework and feminine composition matter. Her portfolio reads like a quiet rebellion against generic flash.

The Cover-Up Process

How a cover-up actually works with Heather.

Send photos. Text 808-486-4868 with multiple angles of the existing tattoo, in good light. Note placement and dimensions.
Free consultation. Heather assesses feasibility: is this a one-session cover-up, a two-session, or does it need laser fading first? She'll be honest.
Design phase. She designs the new piece specifically to bury the old one. Florals, dark linework, and high-contrast subjects work best as cover material.
Session day. Cover-ups take longer than fresh tattoos — plan for 3-6 hours depending on size. Bring food, water, and patience.
Heal. Heather sends you home with full aftercare. Cover-ups need extra care during healing because of the extra ink load.
Touch-up at 6 weeks. Some cover-ups need a follow-up to make sure no old ink ghosts through. Included in original price.
